Cant remember the last game i bought without Steam now its changed my PC gaming that much. I also think ive probably spent more money as a result being tempted by sales and how easy/instant Steam makes the whole process.

I honestly think its done nothing but good in regards to the PC gaming scene, promoting sales and indie developers. Just a shame Valve the developer seem to have taken a back seat to Valve the sales group :)

Unfortunately, as all my hard earned cash goes on food, rent, bills, beer and taking the misses for meals, i cant afford steam, even on a sale.. so any single player games i just DL lol.. which is good, as alot of games i have got, id be pissed off if i brought, as they are pants. (Dead island for examle. awesome game for the 1st few hours, then is too repetative. glad i didnt pay for it)

Graphically its lovely, Idea isnt original but is a winner.. but Gameplay lets it down something chronic.

a game where your smashing up zombies is always a winning idea. The game had so much publicity, so many people bigging it up (and that advert of the dad saving the little girl in the hallway was unbelieveable.. it just couldnt outlive the hype..

It was no Dead Rising.. (which is still one of the best zombie games out, except for RE2 ofcourse)

ive played dead island once through already and you are right, it does get repetitive doing the missions again, but now im not focussing on the main storyline i can concentrate on other things... like finding skulls and getting the dev mods.

its not good when these distribution clients (steam/orifice... i mean origin/onlive etc) have all your details and subject to having funds in your account, all that has to happen is some script kiddie steals your account and your bank account is drained.
